ABOUT ME

BEHIND THE LENS

Rebecca Giusti lives in her house near San Rossore, the Pope' private residence, in Pisa. After completing her art studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, she took the specialisation in Conservative Restoration of Works of Art UIA (International University of Art). She remained in Florence for many years and restored paintings on canvas, board, copper and tapestries.


Returning to Pisa, after some experience in teaching, she took up painting and devoted herself to illustration, her "old dream". She attended various specialisation courses including the International School of Sàrmede (TV). Since 2005, she has been participating in exhibitions and events, received awards in various national and international competitions, including first price in "On the wings of butterflies and swans" as the best unpublished register Schwanenstadt (Austria).

 

Her illustrations are present at the XXVIII and XXIX edition of the international exhibition of illustrations for children in Sàrmede "The images of the imagination" travelling in many Italian and European cities. She illustrated for the educational services of the Museum of Natural History, University of Pisa.

 

Rebecca currently teaches her own course "Illustrated Books for Children" at the Art School "F. Russoli" in Pisa.
